Overview

The USC was founded in 1994 with the goal and focus of maintaining internationally-recognised standards in research and education. Industry professionals are engaged in both the development and teaching of the University’s syllabus, so that the training graduates have received equips to take their place in the global economy.

Relevance, excellence and flexibility are some of the qualities of the
education USC provides its students. The teacher-student ration encourages the personal touch in tuition and staff are friendly and approachable, creating a positive learning environment in state-of-the-art facilities on the Sunshine Coast.


Location

The University is located on 100 hectares at Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, 100 kilometres north of Brisbane, the state capital. There are learning centres at Noosa and Fraser Island.

The Sunshine Coast is a beautiful environment where surf beaches, national parks, World Heritage parks, restaurants and nightclubs are all readily accessible. The Coast host a number of sporting, cultural and music festival throughout the year.


Campuses

Sippy Downs is the main campus and learning centre with purpose-built award-winning facilities, including a student accommodation complex, located on the Sunshine Coast. Facilities include modern teaching and learning resources, sporting facilities, cafes and catering services, the Health and Sport Centre, the Psychology Clinic and the Innovation Centre Auditorium.

The Noosa Centre is located 35 minutes north of the main main campus and offers arts, business and education courses. The Centre boast high-tech resources, including electronic library and database facilities with 24-hour access, computer labs, teaching and learning facilities and provides student
support services.

Fraser Island is located at Dili Village on the island, about 24 kilometres north of Hook Point. The Centre hosts research and learning facilities for universities and schools as well as being a popular tourist destination.

Dili Village offers cabin-style accommodation for students, researchers and campers and provides all the essential facilites need for health and comfort, along with its open classrooms.

English Courses

The University offers General English, Academic English and Cambridge Exam Preparation courses, as well as the University’s International Foundation Pathway Programme.

 
 

Entry Requirements

English language:- undergraduate admission generally requires an overall IELTS of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5; postgraduate admission generally requires an overall IELTS of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0. Requirements may vary depending on the course applied for.

Academic requirements:- undergraduate admission generally requires successful completion of the equivalent of Year 12 High School studies; postgraduate admission generally requires successful completion of the equivalent of a Bachelor degree and may also require relevant work experience
depending on the course applied for.

Enrolment dates

Semester 1: lodge application by 30 November the year before
Semester 2: lodge by 31 May the same year

The USC holds various market days, forums and exhibitions, as well as offering various sporting and recreational activities.
