Location
Located in Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, the University has access to all the resources of a major capital.
With its main campus a stone’s throw from the CBD and its other campus located in the city’s northern suburbs, the Uts offers students access to all the social, cultural opportunities for which Sydney is famous – the Harbour and the beaches, the State Gallery, Library and Museum, the nightlife and live music scene and the shops, theatres and restaurants.
Campuses
The City campus is a short walk from the CBD and offers easy access to a range of public transport – buses, trains, taxis. This is the main campus and consists of the main complex at UTS Ultimo (with the nearby UTS Blackfriars) and the UTS Haymarket, a short distance away.
This campus is the hub of the University’s research programmes and includes state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities, campus-wide wireless internet access, the Fitness centre, the Art Gallery and collection as well as numerous cafes and lounges.
Kuring-gai campus is located in Lindfield, 20 minutes by car from the CBD in Sydney’s northern suburbs. This campus houses the Nursing, Midwifery and Health, the Business and the Education facilities. Its facilities include a gymnasium, licensed bar and excellent teaching and learning facilities. The area is served by train and bus services to the city.

English Courses
INSEARCH is the University’s provider of English language tuition for international students. It is located near the main campus and offers the 10-week Direct Entry English Programme and the Academic English Pathway, which focuses on your area of interest.
Entry Requirements
English language requirements:- undergraduate admission generally requires an overall IELTS of 6.5 with a writing score of 6.0 (this may vary depending upon the course); postgraduate admission generally requires an overall IELTS of 6.0 with a writing score of 6.0 (this may vary depending upon the course).
Academic requirements:- undergraduate admission generally requires successful completion of the recognised equivalent of Year 12 High School; postgraduate admission generally requires successful completion of the recognised equivalent of a Bachelor degree (some courses may require relevant work experience in addition).

Semester 1: commences February – apply by 30 August

Student activities
There are student sports and recreation and cultural and social clubs on-campus providing a range of activities and opportunities for students to meet and make friends.
The proximity to the CBD provides a wide range of opportunities for students to organise their own spontaneous informal activities.
