Location
The University of New England is located at Armidale in regional northern New South Wales. Armidale lies roughly mid-way between Sydney and Brisbane, about two hours inland from Coffs Harbour on the coast.

Campuses
The campus at Armidale is connected by road and bus to Armidale and is set outside the city, amid parks and gardens. Some of the architecture is heritage-listed, reflecting its historic origins, and its teaching and learning facilities are state-of-the-art.
Facilities include computer labs, wireless internet, extensive sporting facilities, student accommodation, medical centre and student welfare resources, banking and shopping, library, café and bookstore.

English Courses
The UNE houses its English Language Centre, a recognised centre for teaching English. The ELC offers English for Academic Purposes, General English and Introductory Academic Program.
Entry Requirements
English language requirements: undergraduate admission generally requires an overall IELTS of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5; postgraduate coursework admission generally requires an overall IELTS of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5, though research and some awards have higher requirements.
Academic requirements: undergraduate admission generally requires the successful completion of Year 12 High School or its recognised equivalent; postgraduate admission generally requires successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree or equivalent.

Enrolment dates

Student activities
There are a gym and heated swimming pool on campus, as well as squash and tennis courts, sports playing fields and indoor sports facilities.
Activities like rock climbing, yoga and archery are provided and there are plenty of informal social and cultural opportunities in the cafes, restaurants and shops in town.
Day trips and walking tours of the beautiful national parks and reserves in the region provide relaxation and refreshment.
