English Courses

The University’s Centre for Macquarie English (CME) offers General English, Academic English and a range of Direct Entry programmes for the University and related facilities. An AA Education Network counsellor is able to provide further information.

 
 

Entry Requirements

English language requirements:- undergraduate admission requires and IELTS of 6.5 overall with no band less than 6.00; postgraduate admission requires and IELTS of 6.5 overal with no band less than 6.00.

Academic requirements:- undergraduate admission depends on the requirements for the particular course; postgraduate admission generally requires the successful completion of a Bachelor degree and possibly relevant work experience, depending on the subject area.

Enrolment dates

Macquarie will accept applications at any time, however, it is advisable to submit your application at least three months before semester begins. Semester 1 begins in February, Semester 2 begins in August.

The close proximity to Sydney, the Harbour City, with its beaches, shops, restaurants, cafes and nightlife gives students a smorgasboard of options to choose from.
