Location
Perth is the capital of Western Australia, located near the coast in WA’s south west. The city’s culture reflects its cosmopolitan makeup and there is much to interest residents and visitors alike.
The beaches on the coast, Gallery and Gardens in the city itself, the cafes, restaurants and shops, the nearby Swan Valley and Rottnest Island, all add to the richness and diversity of life in Perth.
Campuses
Bentley campus is the University’s largest, located 6 kilometres form Perth CBD and hosts most of its courses. Facilities include child-care, medical centre, food and other social outlets. It is the centre of student activity at Curtain.
Perth City campus hosts the Graduate School of Business in the centre of the CBD and itsw Masters course in Business are internationally recognised and accredited The facility is state of the art housed in an historical, heritage-listed building.
Kalgoorlie campus is located in the goldfields region of WA, nearly 600 kilometres east of Perth, and it hosts the Western Australian School of Mines and Curtain’s Centre for Regional Development. Facilities include 24 hour computer labs, computer links with the University’s network, a gym, a tavern and library and multi media resources.
Margaret River campus is a little over 280 kilometres south east of Perth and specialises in viticulture and oenology. Facilities include a teaching winery, 24 hour computer labs and purpose-built art centre.
Muresk (Northam) campus is located 96 kilometres east of Perth and specialise in agriculture, offering post graduate and research opportunities. Facilities include student accommodation, multimedia teaching resources, internet access, 24 hour computer labs and a 1738 hectare working farm with stables and riding trails.
Sydney campus is in the centre of the city’s CBD and offers postgraduate business study opportunities.
Miri (Sarawak) campus is located in state-of-the-art facilities in East Malaysia, offering the same range of business, life sciences, arts and engineering courses as Curtin’s main campus in Perth. This campus is linked in to the resources of the University’s network.

English Courses
Curtin offers both English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) and the English Language Bridging Course (ELBC) conducted by the Department of Languages and Intercultural Education (DOLIE).
Entry Requirements
English Language requirements for admission:- for undergraduates a minimum overall IELTS of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5; for postgraduates a minimum overall IELTS of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0.
Academic requirements for admission:- for undergraduates, this depends upon country of origin, so please contact an AA Education Network counsellor for specific information; for postgraduate, generally successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree.

Some courses operate on a semester basis, others on a trimester basis – AA Education Network can advise you on this.

Student activities
There are on-campus recreational facilities, some social, cultural and sporting activities organised by students and there are opportunities in the local communities for socialising in cafes, restaurants hotels and more informal student networks.
